Ribbon Roses with a Twist

This is a very different way of making ribbon roses. It is perfect if you don't have any wide ribbon in your stash. I've used 16mm and 25mm ribbon and achieved fairly big flowers.

I've had lots of fun making this video so I do hope that you enjoy it too.

All the products used can be obtained from the links below.

String Bracelet Video Tutorial

Have you noticed how popular these string bracelets are becoming with both young and older people today? Well, if not, now is the time to start looking and making.

My apologies on Youtube's behalf. They seem to have cropped the edges of the video. It does play properly though.

You can get the string and buttons at Craft Fairy

I'll put an image here so that you can see it if the YouTube image does not display properly.

Happy stringing.

Spend a little make a lot, Seed Bead Necklace

Spend a little make a lot is my motto for this post as I've made a necklace that uses only £1 worth of beads.

You all know what I mean when I say that I'm drawn to packs of beads with lots and lots of colours in them. They shine and seduce and when you get them home you wonder what on earth to do with them. Well, this is what I've come up with. I'm in the process of doing the Video clip but for now I'll content myself with showing you the piccies.

I used
20g 6/0 Glass Seed Beads, Dyed Colors, Round, Mixed Colors, about 4mm 1 pack
6 Alloy Chandelier Components, Lead and Cadmium Free, Antique Silver Color, 34mm just 2 of these
Tibetan Silver Toggle & Bar, Lead Free and Cadmium Free, x 6 sets just 1 set
100 metres of Monofilament 0.35mm I used less than 4 metres.
12 crimps
2 jump rings

Here's the video to explain how to do it.

Pointed Petal Ribbon Flower

Well, the video camera has been out again and this time it is for a pointed petal flower. As I am into spots lately, I have used the fab taffeta and satin 38mm ribbon again. It really is too good to resist so why bother to try. This is what you'll get:

Here is a list of the things that I used:

38mm spot ribbon in Shocking pink
Buttons
thread
pins

Off you go. Now I want to see what you've made.

How Annoying

I can't tell you how annoying Blogger can sometimes be. I tried and tried to post a picture of the card that I make on the video but it simply wouldn't let me so here it is on a separate post.

For details on how to draw the daisies and make the card please watch the video.

How to draw a flower with calligraphy pens

Well, I've finally done it. While at the NEC last week, I told lots of people that I would make a video of flower drawing and this is the result. It's my first effort so be kind. I will make more. By then I will probably have figured out better lighting too!
